More Construction Pictures

Here are some more photographs of the construction project, taken Saturday. As you can see, the foundations are nearing completion. Please keep in mind that you can aid this construction project by making a donation today, or you can sign up to receive information about more projects, trips, and opportunities by filling out simple form underneath the pictures. Thank you all for reading this blog this summer, and for being interested in both the work that Hearts of the Father does in Ghana and in the students of Millbrook School.

A View of the Construction

These photos and sketches are of the new addition to the JoshKrisDan Home in Old Ningo, Ghana, West Africa.  This addition will house a library and tech room and also have rooms for the older children to occupy along with guests that might visit.  Shortly after the Millbrook team left the home the footings were dug.   We will be updating the progress as it happens.  Please look for future updates!

Meet Emmanuel, A Child from the JoshKrisDan Home!

Emmanuel was abandoned by his mother and left at his grandmother’s house at 2 months of age. The grandmother who was also pregnant with child was not able financially to care for two babies. A social worker intervened and supported Emmanuel by providing food but with time the grandmother delivered and was diverting the food to her own baby. The social worker later took Emmanuel to an orphanage but they only took in children less than two years of age. Emmanuel had attained the age of two and therefore had to be transferred to another orphanage. With the help of the social worker and social welfare department, Emmanuel joined the HFO family on the 14th of January, 2003.

He’s a class five pupil of Old Ningo Presby School in interests in reading, mathematics and writing. He’s very studious and polite in speech. He loves smiling and is pleasant with visitors and family. He has improved in mannerism and behavior and aims at becoming a pastor in future.
